Overnight Houseman

1 Hotel Copenhagen is centrally located at the intersection of the city’s vibrant Latin Quarter and its historic heart; it will feature 282 rooms including 30 suites.  With a Green-Michelin-starred Chef at the helm, the property will also feature locally sourced, seasonal cuisine as eclectic as the city itself at the signature restaurant and bar. Guests and locals alike can find tranquility in the nature-inspired Bamford Wellness Spa, connected with the natural world in the property’s urban garden complete an on-site bee hotel, or embark on an adventure, exploring Copenhagen's rich tapestry of parks and museums on bike.   

As an Overnight Houseman, we are seeking someone who is reliable, a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining clean, organized, and welcoming spaces. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently during overnight shifts, and manages time effectively with minimal supervision. They should demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor, respond promptly to guest needs, and communicate effectively with other departments. Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, flexibility to work weekends and holidays, and proficiency in English are required.

About you..

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing bathrooms, and replenishing towels, toiletries, and amenities
• Inspect rooms and report any maintenance issues or damages to the engineering department
• Clean and maintain all public and back-of-house areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, meeting rooms, and service areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors to ensure all areas are neat, orderly, and presentable
• Empty trash and properly dispose of waste in guest and public areas
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, including delivering extra linens, towels, pillows, or amenities
• Assist guests with basic needs during overnight hours while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor
• Communicate guest concerns or issues to the appropriate department in a timely manner
• Work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating strong attention to detail and time-management skills
• Demonstrate flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays, with previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required
